BREUER® is working with partners and the University of Bremen to develop new strategies for the use of silicon carbide (SiC) in electric drive systems for electric cars.
The aim of the project is to significantly increase the efficiency of electric vehicles, which should result in longer ranges and shorter charging times. Silicon carbide, a highly conductive material, enables less energy to be lost in the form of heat in inverters. This leads to increased power density and efficiency not only in vehicles, but also in stationary applications such as charging stations.
Through its participation in SiC-Mobil, BREUER® consolidates its position as an innovative company in the field of electromobility and actively contributes to the development of sustainable technologies that will revolutionize the automotive sector.
